Adding Live Smiling Faces To Paintigs Is Hilarious

If you haven’t seen those classic paintings with added live smiles, then you should! It’s pure gold! This Asian artist called Flower Hakka had the genius idea of slapping this filter on Mona Lisa and other old-school masterpieces, and the outcome is hilarious.

Basically, what he does is he takes these super-old paintings, like the Mona Lisa, sticks his own face overlaying the painting, and pulls some faces until his mug lines up perfectly with the missing piece. Finally, he slaps on a seductive smile and BOOM the cringiest form of art is born!

I mean, the Mona Lisa with a big, goofy smile is hilarious. And she’s just the tip of the iceberg! He’s given other famous portraits the same treatment, and the results are straight-up ridiculously funny.

He’s taken these super-serious, highbrow works of art and turned them into something out of a comedy sketch. And honestly, it’s a refreshing change of pace. I’m all for bringing a little humor to the stuck-up paintings of the Renaissance period. Check out the hilarious results:
