Boy Walks To School 5 Km In Freezing Cold, And His Story Will Make You Ponder

This is the story of an 8 year old Chinese boy township of Xinjie in Yunnan Province, China.

He recently walked approximately 3 miles (around 5 Km) in freezing cold ( 16°F / -9°C ) just to take an exam. His trek became viral due to the pictures you are about to see, and soon after people from all places started to contact the school in order to contribute and help in any way possible to improve the terrible learning conditions for the little boy and his fellow students.

1. When the little boy reached the school, the headmaster Fu Heng, could not believe his eyes.

The little boy had icicles on his tiny eyelashes and his hair and looked completely frozen. His cheeks were burning from the harsh cutting icy wind outside. He took this picture of the tiny boy, marking the beginning of this unbelievable story.

2. “It was the first day of their final exams,” Heng said. “The temperatures dropped to minus nine degrees Celsius in about 30 minutes that morning.”

His colleagues would call him “Ice Boy” and the name stuck. That morning Ice Boy had to walk 3 miles in that freezing cold, and thee reason is most surprising…

3. While most of us would probably do anything to avoid an exam at school, Ice Boy did the opposite.

He made his hike that day because he simply wanted to take the test that was scheduled that day.
