What can you do in the midst of the Canadian winter when all you have to fight boredom are the mountains of snow on your street and your sculpting skills? Why, you carve an authentic replica of the DeLorean from the 80s’ epic “Back to the Future,” of course!

This is exactly what Simon Laprise, a 33-year old woodworker from Montreal thought, too, and he took his creation to perfection. In fact, his snow sculpture seemed so real that the local police stopped to leave a fine for illegal parking in a snow removal area.

Simon was quick to capture a few photos of the officers as they were inspecting the car and writing the fine. He waited for them to leave, and went outside to pick up the fine. To his surprise, the policemen proved they shared his sense of humor as the ticket they left behind read-only “You made our night!”

3. He would later admit that the joke was actually aimed at the snow removal guys, since the car was made out of a mound of snow that the removal workers would have to pick up in the morning anyway. The thing is, the prank would have a very interesting twist soon enough.
