This Crazy Guy Finds An Abandoned Ghost Ship And Actually Rows His Kayak Inside It

10. As Old As WW2

You might not be able to tell but this ship is almost a century old. (Well, 75 years to be precise, but it’s getting there). It was built in 1942 in Belfast, Nothern Ireland and weighed 7.355 tons.

11. Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover

When you think of the ship’s general greatness and impressive size and strenght, you might not think that actually, its purpose was not proportionally glorious. The ship was mainly used to transport frozen meat from Argentina in its early years (1944-1945).

12. The Last Destination

Only 26 years after it was build, the ship finally shipwrecked near Costinesti where it remained since. A sinister ending to a wonderful ship. Even more sinister, since it seems the last owner of the vessel apparently shipwrecked it on purpose to collect insurance money. Sad.

Nonetheless, the ship is now a place of exploration, and a gateway to a long forgotten past. Apparently if you are brave enough, you can use the pipes and framework inside the ship to scale all the way to the deck.

But we will leave that to the more adventurous types. We just like to watch and tell the stories!  Share the story of the awesome ghost ship with your friends too!
