Japanese Artist Creates Wonderful Art From Old Cardboard Boxes

Meet Monami Ohno, the Japanese artist who delighted the world with her amazing sculptures. But while other artists have carved stone, or bent metal to create their works of art, Monami found her inspiration among abandoned cardboard boxes.

Equipped with her trusty pair of scissors, a ruler, some cutters, and a serious supply of glue, Monami Ohno brought life to cardboard, molding it into astonishing creations that never cease to amaze. The level of detail of her art pieces is amazing!

From the extremely detailed interior of her cardboard cars (with gear shifts, displays, and even radio buttons), to the grooves on the wheels of her cardboard cars and all the way to the exact replica of Star Wars space ships (such as the Millennium Falcon), her creations are a testament to her skill, attention, craft, and imagination. She has even fashioned a wearable pair of cardboard shoes!
