Lady Takes Anti-Selfies By 'Dying' In Different Tourist Spots And It's Brilliant

When they travel and sightsee different touristic attractions, most people would just take out their phone and snap a casual photo as a souvenir. This is not the case with Stephanie Leigh Rose, whose pictures have a totally weird approach. She poses in the strangest “looking-dead” postures, and it’s quite brilliant. There is a reason for her artistic and weird photography.

Social media these days is filled with photos that are manipulated to show a different reality. Influencers photoshop their pictures to sell a fake image and send false messages. There are artificially enhanced photos everywhere, showing people that look nowhere like they do in reality. This tends to lead to a lowered self-esteem for the persons seeing them, as well as probably the ones who post them.

Well, Stephanie decided, in her own artistic manner, to do the opposite in her photos on social media. As a stance against fake selfies, she would take unhandled and raw pictures that do not skew the real image of the body, and show it in unflattering poses and angles. Her photos have a deeper message. They are meant to be a part of a movement of trying to normalize social media and start showing life without the filters and falseness of photoshop. Message aside, in a weird way, her artistic photos are hilarious to see!
