Nothing is better than a relaxing day at the seaside with the family during a hot summer day. The cool ocean breeze, the sun giving you a nice tan and the water always there for a quick swim. A lot of people enjoy doing this.

However, if lying in the sun is not exactly your thing, you can always go searching for treasure on the shore. There are always cool things to find on the beach. Cool looking pebbles, or intricate sea shells or even random shark teeth and maybe even a message in a bottle…

So, you can’t really blame one family that stumbled upon this weird looking strange rusty “buoy” on the beach. The problem is, what they found wasn’t exactly a buoy, and their whole discovery nearly cost them their lives.

 

1. A Day At The Beach

Kelly Gravell and her family were spending a nice day at the beach at Burry Port in Wales, when they spotted this rusty weird thing half buried in the sand. They decided to take some pictures with their kids.

2. Unkowingly

They had no idea what the object was. They believed it was some sort of buoy. Here the kids were playing next to it. Nobody had the slightest idea how dangerous it actually was.

3. The Shock Of Their Lives…

…came a few days later when they turned on the news. The news anchor was telling a story about how a World War ll Sea Mine was discovered washed ashore on the beach (the same beach they had been to)
