Times When Awesome Vandalism Transformed Random Public Places Into Clever Street Art

They say “a little creativity goes a long way,” and it might be what these innovative street artists had in mind when they changed the look of a public place with a small twist of the wrist. From billboards to barrier bars to parking signs, street artists stopped at nothing to repaint the world and share with others a view of their own.

It doesn’t take much to change the meaning of a street sign or a public area, as these images show us. Creative and mostly anonymous people found the inspiration in random communal items that we pass by every day.

In most cases, it is just an object placed on a statue, like a skateboard or a razor blade. Other times it’s just a few scribbled words that create a pun out of a warning sign. The ones that raise the most eyebrows are original, vivid paintings that transform dull objects into clever street art.
