Diamonds are known to be a girl’s best friend. But not in the case of Mame, a Japanese one-year-old girl, and Riku, a beautiful giant poodle, who have formed a great and unexpected friendship, one that many would call the real friendship goal. Thankfully, Mame’s grandmother decided to document their story on social media. Their lovely friendship has got around 80k people hooked on their adventures as many people quickly jumped to press the Follow button on Instagram.

Although the household is not short on dogs – Qoo and Gaku being the other 2 who are owned by their grandmother – Mame and Riku seem to be the inseparable couple. These two are always spending time together, sharing activities such as enjoying a good book, playing around the house or even catching up on a good night’s sleep together. And who wouldn’t be jealous of this great friendship? Because we definitely are and wish we would have a great friend just like Riku.
