We all have that one friend who wants book adaptations on film to follow the source material to the letter. “This scene was different in the book,” is their favorite and repetitive commentary, which makes watching a movie together a tedious experience.

Thanks to Katie Knudson, you can now tell your friend to bottle up their protests and watch her amazing illustrations instead. The Florida-based artist has taken the time and effort to draw some of the most crucial scenes from Harry Potter that did not make it into the movies.

Fans of the books will be glad to see some of their favorite scenes in beautifully drawn comics. From stolen kisses, to fights, to Hermione angry slapping Malfoy, the moments that marked the novels, and which we were only imagining until recently have now taken form. And, as you can see from the gallery they fit with the story’s fantastic imagery.
